Sarah’s counselling style is based on the creation of respectful and trusting relationships with her clients. She is a warm and caring person who is genuinely interested in helping and supporting people. Sarah creates a safe and welcoming space for clients to share and explore their experiences, feelings and thoughts. Developing good relationships has been a consistent theme throughout her life.
Sarah’s counselling philosophy is to help people identify their strengths and develop strategies and skills to address the issues that are making life challenging. She thinks of her role as walking along beside her clients and offering support when it’s needed.
Sarah has worked with people to address anxiety and low self-esteem; complex family relationships and conflict; feelings of hopelessness and loneliness; identity issues; insomnia and sleep difficulties; life transitions; managing peer relationships; negative thoughts; relationship stress; work-related stress and other problems.
Qualifications: Sarah grew up in Melbourne, Australia and came to Hong Kong 12 years ago. She has a broad range of professional experience and has studied secondary school teaching, marketing and has trained as a Life Coach. Sarah has worked in sales, educational publishing, marketing and event management, and business development in accounting and law firms. She volunteers as a counsellor-in-training at a refugee centre in Hong Kong.
